Kartsport Hawke's Bay

Great effort from the Kiwi'sThe circuit Internacional Paladino saw hot conditions today reaching temperatures of 32 degrees. Today all drivers had two more heat races carried out, with one being in the morning and one following the lunch break.

Fynn Osborne (group B) started heat one from grid position seven after losing multiple positions at the start, Fynn had an excellent drive carrying out lots of passing to get himself back to 9th position. Heat three saw Osborne lose numerous spots throughout the race which cost him track position, but he did show good pace setting a lap time of 53.020, and the fastest lap of the race was 52.918. Fynn came home in 16th position.

Zac Stichbury (group B) who suffered from a DNF in yesterdays heat race showed good pace today, and in heat two this morning, Zac had his hand's full majority of the race which kept him busy. He finished heat 2 in 9th position. Heat three saw Zac get a great start moving himself up into 5th position, a few laps later he then moved himself up into third position, Lap 6 he made the pass for second position which is where Zac finished when the flag dropped.

Josh Hart (group D) representing Australia finished in position 8th, but unfortunately, Josh lost multiple positions on the last lap. Josh had another good run in heat three finishing in 5th position. Hart is staying out of trouble and hanging near the front of the field.

Jono Buxeda (group C) had a convincing drive in heat two this morning showing strong pace throughout the whole race; he managed to stay with the leaders and came home in 3rd position. Buxeda started heat three from grid position 4 and crossed the line in position 7.

Sam Waddell (group C) unfortunately got caught out at the start in the first corner where he found himself on the grass, this dropped him to the rear of the field, but he was able to fight his way back through to finish 21st out of 36. Waddell started heat three from 20th on the grid. He made some good progress forward finishing up in 15th position.

Ryan Wood (group B) representing Australia had another successful heat race and stayed out of trouble finishing in 3rd position. Ryan started 3rd in heat three. He went on to maintain this position.

Matt Hamilton (group B) showed his class in this mornings heat race after having an eventful heat one yesterday, Matt started on the front row and led the race from start to finish where he continued to extend his lead every lap. Heat three saw Matt Hamilton extend his lead to 1.2 seconds in the first four laps, the race then came to a stop with a red flag. After a single file restart, Hamilton went on to win his second race of the day as well as setting the fastest lap of the race.

Fraser Hart (group A) also showed what he is capable of finishing heat 2 in the 2nd position right behind the leader. Hart started heat three from grid position three which is also where he finished the race.

David Malcolm (group D) is doing a great job, he is showing good speed, and Dave managed lots of passing opportunities in heat two which were successful meaning he finished heat 2 in 18th position which was six positions forward from where he started the race. Heat three saw Dave make up nine positions after starting on grid 24 he managed to come home in 15th.

Well done to all drivers on another successful day here at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals
