Introduction to Karting
Like many other Karting Clubs in New Zealand and around the world, KartSport Hawke’s Bay have a range of drivers of all abilities. While some enjoy the Club level here in Hawke’s Bay, others travel the breadth of the country, and indeed overseas, chasing higher success. Clubs generally have two formats of racing including Sprints (10mins)and Enduros (1hr). In their calendar they have Club Championships which can be stand alone events or raced over a series.
Here in the North Island the central Clubs of Wellington, Taranaki, Manawatu and Hawke’s Bay have a WPKA Goldstar series which is an excellent series to improve you skills and travel to different tracks.
Other prestigious events include: Top Half Series, Rotax Max Challenge, NZ Schools Champs, North Island Sprint Champs and the New Zealand Sprint Champs
We will endeavor to introduce you to a new sport while ensuring you start off on the right foot here at KartSport Hawke’s Bay.
Through our ‘Have A Go’ packages you be able to see if Karting is for you. It is effectively a try before you buy.
If you are still interested in committing to the sport we will help join you up as a member and advise you on what you will need in the way of a kart, gear, licenses etc. We can then buddy you up with another member who can help you out in your early days until you feel more competent.
